CEBU CITY, Oct. 20 – The latest three-day Suroy Suroy Sugbo, the Cebu Provincial Government’s tourism project, featured over the weekend Bogo City’s “pintos,” a delicacy made of young corn.
The delegates slept at different resorts in Bantayan Island Saturday night. On Sunday morning, they had breakfast at their respective resorts before proceeding to Bogo City.
In April last year, for the first time, the Suroy Suroy Sugbo-Northern Escapade dropped by Bogo City, home of Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia’s political opponents — the Martinezes. Bogo City Mayor Celestino “Junie” Martinez Jr. and Garcia, since then, developed a professional relationship.
